Kokoschka – by Rüdiger Görner of the Dresden Trust
A new book on the painter Oskar Kokoschka, hailed as “a revelatory new biography” has just appeared in English translation.
It is written by Professor Rüdiger Görner, Professor of German with Comparative Literature at Queen Mary, University of London, and Founding Director of the Centre for Anglo-German Cultural Relations.
Professor Görner is a Trustee of The Dresden Trust. Kokoschka lived in Dresden from 1917 to 1935, and the city has a fine collection of his paintings.
“Kokoschka – The Untimely Modernist”, translated by Debra Marmor and Herbert Danner, is published in English by Haus Publishing.
