Donation to Dresden Trust Scholarship Scheme

The Dresden Trust has received a four-figure donation in recognition of its sponsorship of a British schoolboy to spend three weeks in Dresden last autumn attending a school and staying with a family. His father wrote: “He gained so much from it, not just in terms of his German language skills but also with new friendships, educational perspectives and travel independence.” There followed a donation from the Clasped Hands Trust.

For a number of years, The Dresden Trust has been sponsoring British schoolchildren to spend time in Dresden. Most speak of life-changing experiences.

“This generous donation will help us continue a scheme which has proved its worth in furthering reconciliation and lasting friendship between Britain and Dresden,” said Chairman Marcus Ferrar.
